There's no such thing as too little space
The owners of this garden had space to spare, and that was precisely the problem. Whole areas went unused, simply because nothing tied them together. So we gave the garden a clear structure, with distinct zones, each with its own character: a picking garden with fruit trees and berries, a space for the chickens to roam, and a natural pool that meets the existing terrace without a seam. Paths through generous planting draw it all together, and a seating area with a fire bowl makes a place worth lingering in. From the front garden to the farthest corner, we restored a sense of calm and coherence. The result is a garden that holds together as a whole, and one the family now makes the most of, day after day.
