Clean lines, endless views

This natural pool in Vossem grew from a single idea: one line, running straight through the heart of the house and terrace. To make the symmetry sing, we gave the swimming zone and the filter zone the exact same width. The result holds a crisp line with the house while settling naturally into its surroundings. A subtle shift in level lets the water seem to pour into the landscape beyond, an infinity effect you catch from the water, the terrace and the house alike. It's what makes the owners' sweeping view truly earn its keep. We laid the terrace too, the vantage point where the whole garden opens up. Deeper in, a wadi drinks up the excess rainwater and feeds it back to the soil. We also put in a new, even lawn, ready to grow along with the rest of the garden.
